The M#245 represents Atelier Z’s modern interpretation of the classic 34" scale bass platform — enhanced with active electronics for expanded tonal flexibility.
Built with an Ash body and Maple 1-piece neck, it offers fast attack, strong note definition, and a focused low end. The natural resonance of the tonewoods is complemented by a powerful onboard preamp system, making this instrument especially responsive in live performance settings.
Unlike many traditional passive designs, the M#245 is equipped with an active Bartolini XTCT + Spectrum Boost preamp. This system provides bass, mid, and treble control with low noise and a wide adjustment range, allowing players to shape their tone with precision and clarity.
The XTCT circuit is a variant of the well-known TCT preamp platform famously associated with legendary bassist Marcus Miller, offering transparent headroom and musical responsiveness while retaining the core character of the instrument.
From clean fingerstyle articulation to dynamic slap tones, the M#245 delivers clarity, punch, and control in equal measure.
