The M#265 expands Atelier Z’s modern bass platform into a powerful 5-string configuration while maintaining clarity, balance, and articulation.
Built with an Ash body and Maple 1-piece neck (21 frets), the M#265 offers fast attack, strong note separation, and stable response across all five strings. The construction emphasizes tight low-end definition and even string balance — essential for players who rely on extended range in contemporary performance settings.
Unlike traditional passive designs, the M#265 features an active Bartolini XTCT + Spectrum Boost preamp. This low-noise system provides bass, mid, and treble control with a wide adjustment range, allowing precise tonal shaping while preserving headroom and transparency.
The XTCT circuit is a variant of the renowned TCT platform associated with legendary bassist Marcus Miller, offering musical responsiveness and flexible control without coloring the natural voice of the instrument.
Hand-built in Japan, the M#265 combines performance-grade electronics with high-quality hardware, including Gotoh GB528 tuners and the original Atelier Z BB518 bridge, ensuring tuning stability and long-term reliability.
